Aaron Citti

Aaron’s interest in photography sparked when he got his first camera in a show bag when he was 5 years old. Spending his childhood years taking photographs of family, friends and animals he dreamed about becoming a photographer of wildlife and nature.

Aaron has 15 years photography experience and has been privileged to work alongside some of Australia's leading photographers. His latest collection, "Sensing South Australia 2010 series" has just been released, of which he has already received the Bronze Award for Photographer of the Year 2009 by Better Photography Magazine for his photo entitled "The Pier", his work entitled "1am" was published in the New York Times and "Twilight Moon" recently awarded 5th in The UK Karl Taylor International Photography Competition 2010.

Like most photographers Aaron loves travelling abroad to explore new landscapes offering something different from Australia, but finds his most satisfying work in capturing Australian landscapes.

"There is something evoking and emotional about capturing the simple beauty, elegance and innocence found in nature.I love travelling to international destinations to do photo shoots, but its much more of a challenge to capture the beautiful landscapes we have in our own backyard. Some walk right by an ordinary scene, but if you go to the same place in a different light, it transforms the ordinary into extraordinary and can produce some spectacular photographs. I like to capture a shot that highlights the beauty in the ordinary and unseen. My photos could be taken just down the road from where you live, on a streetscape you walk past every day, or a known or unknown location in rural Australia. If there is something that captures me about a certain place I will return and wait for the right light I need that makes it spectacular.” Aaron Citti.
